Art classes for kids 8-12 year olds

Our 5-7 year old after school art class students have been doing some great things in the Potting Shed We have been experimenting with new techniques & mediums, including acrylic paint, charcoal, pastels & wax resist. The class tackles projects that are more intensive. The kids are learning about contrast, values, shadowing, & techniques for shading & painting. This class is such a fun group and is ALWAYS up or trying something NEW!

Our 8-12 year old after school class will be meeting in February and there are still some openings. These kids take their art class just a little more seriously and we challenge them to try new techniques and mediums weekly. They are developing their natural talents and learning to look for art & inspiration in their own surroundings.

In all of the classes, kids are given personal attention and guidance depending on their personal needs. Every child is different and so are their opinions and ways of expressing themselves. Watching them tap into their natural talents to create an original piece of art is a privilege.
Classes run for 4 week sessions or on a class by class basis
